Abbie Brasch is a filmmaker and cinematographer with a focus in documentary and experimental filmmaking. She graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in cinematography. She spent the majority of her undergraduate years working on student films in the camera and lighting department but her true passion lies in being the artistic vision behind the lens.
Abbie interned with Kartemquin Films in Chicago in 2015 where she worked on a variety of documentary films during their production and outreach stages. She continued to work with Kartemquin Films after her internship and helped with production work on their documentary series America To Me.
In August of 2016, Abbie spent a month in Morocco shooting short films with Moroccan filmmakers as part of the Sahara Lab project.
Abbie currently works for Kurtis Productions on the CNBC series American Greed and is also in the production stage of her next film about anxiety and mental health.
